Abstract

Mit der Endosonographie des Kolons lassen sich Kolonwandlasio-nen endoskopisch und in ihrer Tiefen sonographisch beurteilen. Gegenuber der transcutanen Kolonsonographie zeigt sich eine bessere Darstellung von Entzundungen (unspezifisch, M. Crohn, Colitis ulcerosa) und Tumoren (Polypen, Tumorstaging [Sensitivitat 70–90%]). Stenotische Prozesse sind aber oft nicht passierbar und sonographisch darstellbar. Die klinische Wertigkeit dieses aufwendigen Verfahrens im Vergleich zu transcutaner Kolonsonographie oder Hydrosonographie des Kolons mus jedoch noch in vergleichenden Studien belegt werden.
