MHC (Major Histocompatibility Complex) Class II antigens are polymorphic cell surface glycoproteins which bind foreign antigens and form a complex which is recognized by T lymphocyte antigen receptors. Presentation of foreign antigens by self MHC molecules to T cells triggers antigen-specific responses in the immune system. Thus, increasing the expression of MHC class II molecules on the surface of antigen-presenting cells contributes to the initiation and amplification of immune responses.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 2 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
