Abstract

We are conducting a cross-cultural survey of the approaches that medical geneticists take to some of the ethical problems that they and their clients face. Medical geneticists and ethicists in 19 countries are collaborating on this study, which will be published by Springer-Verlag in 1987 as a book, to be entitled Ethics and Human Genetics: A Cross-Cultural Perspective. Your responses to the following questionnaire will assist the representatives from your country to write their chapter describing the approaches of the medical geneticists in your country to current ethical problems. Answers will be reported only in statistically aggregate form.
