
The affinity diagram for quinolizidine bearing Papilionoideae, analysed in Chapter 12 from the morphological point of view, reveals an additional message if analysed from the geographical point of view (Fig. 13.1). African genera have low EAS values and lead to European, Asiatic and American genera with increasing EAS and decreasing EAO values. The Australian genera are seen to be akin to the Asian group.
