Die Nebenniere und das chromaffine System

Abstract

Stammesgeschichtlich ist die Nebenniere zweifellos eine der jungsten Erwerbungen des Wirbeltierkorpers. Nur die Amnioten besitzen ein einheitliches, in sich abgeschlossenes Nebennierenorgan, das aus zwei scharf trennbaren Gewebsarten besteht, deren Zellen sich in innigster Beruhrung mit dunnwandigen Blutgefasen zu ein oder mehrzelligen Balken zusammenlegen. Bei Anamnieren dagegen bezeichnet der Ausdruck Nebenniere die Gesamtheit oft sehr vieler, kleiner Korperchen, die lediglich noch bei den Amphibien eine Ahnlichkeit mit den Nebennieren der Amnioten im histologischen Aufbau durch das Vorkommen und die Struktur der beiden Grundgewebe besitzen, wahrend bei den Eischen und Zyklostomen sich zweierlei Gruppen von Korperchen finden, von denen jedes aus einer einzigen Zellart aufgebaut ist. Beim Amphioxus sind auch solche Korperchen nicht nachgewiesen.
