Abstract

Intensive care and organ donation have been related ever since the concept of brain death, i.e., death due to brain-related criteria was introduced. Even though the term potential organ donor is extensively used, there exists neither scientific evidence nor consensus criteria for defining a potential organ donor (Bell 2010).
