This book is devoted to a study of the oscillation theory of nonautonomous linear Hamiltonian systems and that of a spectral theory adapted to such systems. Some methods of topological dynamics and ergodic theory, including Lyapunov exponents, exponential dichotomies, and rotation numbers are applied to this study. Applications to linear-quadratic control systems with time dependent coefficients are given.
