Apart from their ability to reduce blood pressure they have been implemented in the treatment of various forms of angina pectoris (e.g. in patients with stable coronary artery disease as well as patients with coronary artery spasm). This chapter gives a brief overview on the most important studies and frequently used calcium channel blockers as well as side effects.
