Owing to the stability and resistance to biodegradation of synthetic dyes, their elimination from industrial wastewater is a very difficult task. This problem has triggered environmental engineers and scientists to search for innovative solutions. Over the last two decades, considerable attention has been paid to the use of ultrasound as an alternative advanced oxidation process for the degradation of textile dyes in wastewater. This process offers effective destruction of contaminants via reaction with ●OH radical or pyrolysis in different reaction zones.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 14 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Top 10% | |
