The advances made over the past two decades in multimodal treatment for soft parts sarcoma with increased disease-free survival are among the notables in oncology achievements. More precise identification of tumor types, with better understanding of their biological behavior and therapeutic sensitivities, and the advances in diagnostic technology for assessment of the extent of disease have contributed to the maximum impact of the new, sophisticated uses and applications of surgery and radiation with the available chemical and immunobiological therapies.
