
Although we have in mind a particular approach of software construction which we have been developing and using for some years, our intention is not to describe a specific method here, it is only to give a number of guidelines and rules of thumb that we re-discover little by little and which can be used, we think, whatever the technical environment at one’s disposal. Our main concern is the following: How can we avoid being overwhelmed by complexity?
