
In the period of almost a decade since the first birth after in vitro fertilization (IVF), several thousand babies have been born world-wide. However, apart from the results of the initial experience of individual IVF programmes, there are relatively few published studies with reasonable sample size that begin to answer the many questions about the outcome of IVF pregnancies.
