Abstract

The goal of the information resource model is to develop a database technology specifically for education. The information resource model presents a formalism for the design and implementation of information resource systems. The heart of the model is a graphical query language, which achieves hypertext behavior while ameliorating some of the shortcomings of hypertext. This paper sketches the basic properties of the data model and the query language.
