Arbitrated Verifier Signature with Message Recovery for Proof of Ownership

Abstract

There are some problems in existing digital copyright mechanism as the rightful ownership cannot be resolved by using current knowledge based intelligent technology alone. Specially, some one can provide counterfeited watermark which can be performed on a watermarked image to allow multiple claims of rightful ownerships. Therefore, we propose advanced arbitrated verification scheme on the digitally watermarked contents by designated proving with message recovery function on trusted third party. In detail, the copyright owner of a watermark can sure that only the intended verifier(buyer) can be convinced about the validity of the watermark as anybody except for verifier can't produce identically distributed transcripts.
