Digital forensics is a newly emerged research area, and its importance has attracted a great attention among IT professionals, law enforcement agencies, and practitioners. The aim of this special issue is to report on state‐of‐theart research accomplishments concerning digital forensics and information security issues under modern mobile computing infrastructures encompassing social science, law enforcement agency, information communication technology, and business administration.
