We have demonstrated the novel concept of smoke‐anti‐reflection (smoke‐AR) films, which enhance visibility of display under ambient light. The displays with the newly developed smoke‐AR film had approximately 40% higher ambient contrast ratio than that with a conventional clear AR film. The smoke‐AR film is particularly beneficial for display applications that require visibility under strong lighting.
