AbstractOn adding together H3PO4 and HClO4 a substance of the composition H3PO4. HClO4 is formed with a melting point of 46°‐47°. It is shown by the electrolysis of its solution in CH3NO2 that the H3PO4 forms a positive ion, from which follows that H3PO4 has basic properties towards the strong acid HClO4.
