A self-consistent model of electromagnetic dynamical scattering due to Ewald, is reconsidered. While this treatment preserves all the main characteristics of the original model, a different inter-pretation of waves summation leads to new conclusions. Self-consistent solutions compatible with external incident field can be found for corresponding modes of radiation-crystal interaction.
