AbstractThis qualitative study explores the information seeking behavior of cosplayers (i.e., individuals who create costumes from films, video games, anime, etc.). Interviewed participants outlined information practices including search strategy development, locating curated resources within a Facebook group, collaboration, and strategies for overcoming information hurdles. The findings demonstrate that fan communities are rich socio‐cultural environments, replete with sophisticated information practices.
