AbstractOsteosarcoma commonly arises in the metaphyses of the long bones and rarely appears in other parts of the long bones or in flat bones. In the head and neck, 6.5% of all osteosarcomas occur in the jaws. A very rare case is presented in which an osteosarcoma developed in the nasal bones of a 4‐year 9‐month‐old girl without any predisposing cause. The literature pertaining to osteosarcomas of the head and neck, particularly in children, also is reviewed.
