BMP regulation of myogenesis in zebrafish

Abstract

AbstractTwenty‐four hour zebrafish embryo labeled for dermomyotome (green, pax7) and muscle fibers (red, MEF2 and blue, Myosin Heavy Chain). Ectopic BMP signaling causes a delay in myogenesis, leading to an increase in the dermomyotome and a decrease in muscle fibers. From Patterson et al., Developmental Dynamics 239:806–817, 2010.
