Co. is the nation's largest source of funds for mortgage lenders and investors, providing resources for customers to make additional mortgage loans or investments in mortgage‐related securities. Co. operates exclusively in the secondary mortgage market by purchasing mortgages and mortgage‐related securities from primary market institutions, such as commercial banks, savings and loan associations, mortgage companies, securities dealers and other investors.
