SummaryA new 0.5‐V bulk‐driven operational transconductance amplifier (OTA), designed in 50 nm CMOS technology, is presented in the paper. The circuit is characterized by improved linearity and dynamic range obtained for MOS devices operating in moderate inversion region. Some basic applications of the OTA such as a voltage integrator and a second‐order low‐pass filter have also been described. The filter is compared to other low‐voltage filters presented in the literature. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
