Abstract Labyrinthitis occurs because of the inflammation of the inner ear. We present a rare case of labyrinthitis ossificans following an acute otitis media. The T2‐weighted magnetic resonance imaging showed decreased signal intensity in the right inner ear due to labyrinthitis ossificans, consistent with the clinical presentation.
