
Key Points Previous meta‐analysis raised concerns about the safety of paclitaxel‐coated devices in the treatment of PAD. However, real world data does not seem to agree with these findings. Increased mortality in patients with peripheral arterial disease and the true and beneficial treatment effects of these technologies need to be clarified as many patients clearly can benefit from them.
