AbstractCarotid stenting has emerged as an alternative revascularization modality to endarterectomy for the treatment of carotid artery disease. Restenosis of a carotid stent may be occasionally seen. Our experience in intravascular radiation therapy for coronary restenosis has provided us the opportunity to explore this treatment strategy for carotid restenosis. We report our initial experience with brachytherapy for the treatment of restenosis after carotid stenting. Cathet Cardiovasc Intervent 2003;58:86–92. © 2003 Wiley‐Liss, Inc.
