ABSTRACTBiotransformation of suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid (SAHA) by soil‐derived Cladosporium cladosporioides TFU‐13 and Volutella sp. TFU‐28 yielded a panel of aniline derivatives, including two new metabolites (1 and 4) and six previously reported compounds. Structural elucidation of the novel metabolites was conducted using comprehensive nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and high‐resolution mass spectrometric analyses. Among these, 2‐acetamidophenol (6) displayed antioxidant activity, as indicated by diphenylpicrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging assays.
