Abstract

AbstractThe mass spectral characteristics of the products described previously as triphenylimidazole‐N‐oxide and N‐hydroxytriphenylimidazole can be interpreted on the basis of polymorphic forms of the same tautomer ( probably the N‐oxide structure ). Intense thermal degradation is observed in the source of the mass spectrometer.
