Abstract A case of late postoperative false abdominal aortic and iliac aneurysms complicated by malposition of the inferior vena cava is presented and attention is drawn to its presentation, diagnosis and management. Several factors assumed to be responsible for the formation of the false aneurysms 7 years after the previous grafting operation are discussed.
