Abstract A case of a femoral neuropathy following anticoagulant therapy is presented. A combined femoral, obturator, and sciatic nerve palsy resulting from complications of atherosclerotic disease of the aorta and iliac arteries is also described. The pathogenicity of the neuropathies is discussed and it is suggested that conservative management ought to be employed where such neuropathy has occurred spontaneously in a haemophiliac or during the course of anticoagulant therapy. Early surgery offers the only satisfactory outcome in those neuropathies associated with atherosclerotic disease of the major vessels.
