Abstract

Der Beitrag berichtet uber die Anwendung der inversen Finite-Elemente-Methode (iFEM) bei der Auswertung bodenmechanischer 1g-Modellversuche. Die inverse FE-Methode wurde an der University of Stellenbosch (Sudafrika) entwickelt und konnte erfolgreich zur Analyse des Tragverhaltens geotechnischer Modellbauwerke an der Bergischen Universitat Wuppertal eingesetzt werden. Nach einer Einfuhrung in die Aufgabenstellung wird die Methode der inversen Finiten Elemente vorgestellt und von herkommlichen Verfahren zur Losung inverser Probleme abgegrenzt. Die Theorie der inversen Finiten Elemente wird erlautert. Im Anschlus wird die Anwendung auf die bodenmechanischen Modellversuche gezeigt, und die mit Hilfe von iFEM erzielten Ergebnisse werden dargestellt. Inverse FE-Method: determination of earth pressure from strain measurements. This paper reports on the application of the inverse Finite Element Method (iFEM) for the processing of geomechanical model tests. The inverse FEM was developed at the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa) and was successfully applied in a study of the behaviour of geotechnical models at the University of Wuppertal. After an introduction to the geotechnical problem at hand, the inverse FEM is presented, and compared to other methods for the solution of inverse problems. The application to the soil mechanic model tests is presented and the results reported.
