ABSTRACT This research examined the wear and friction characteristics of dual (hybrid) filler‐reinforced blends of SSBR and BR. Both dynamic and static abrasion tests were conducted to understand abrasive wear. The dual filler reinforced blends showed static abrasion volume losses of around 67.07, 71.67, and 80.3 mm 3 , while dynamic abrasion volume losses measured approximately 96.20, 107.51, and 120.42 mm 3 . Solution styrene‐butadiene rubber was added to minimize rolling resistance and improve wet traction, while butadiene rubber was incorporated to reduce the volume of abrasion loss. A lower tanδ value, ranging from 0.086 to 0.089 at 60°C, indicates enhanced fuel efficiency. The study concentrated on their performance when interacting with rough surfaces and various types of roadside gravel. The coefficient of friction increased as the size of the gravel particles decreased. This behavior was investigated through a coefficient of friction test conducted in sliding mode. A spring‐and‐dashpot model from rubber physics was utilized to analyze the frictional interactions between tyre materials and gravels. All results demonstrate that these dual‐reinforced SSBR/BR blends are potential candidates for application in two‐wheeler tyre tread.
