Three's company: The first genuine ternary colloidal crystal (see picture) is composed of PbSe nanocrystals of two different diameters (blue and green) and of CdSe nanocrystals (red). Electron tomography shows that the superlattice is isostructural with the atomic lattice AIMgB4.
