AbstractThe geometrical parameters of injection devices are shown to have almost no effect on the resulting two‐phase flow, while they influence the pressure drop owing to its formation. The predominant hydrodynamic parameter is the ratio of the mean superficial velocities. A simplified analysis leads to good agreement with experimental results. The different causes of pressure drops are quantified.
