H. McA., aged 21, was admitted to Harper Hospital March 9, 1911. At 12 p. m. his temperature was 101.8 F., pulse 100, respiration 22. At 4 p. m. the temperature was 102.8 F., pulse 80. The patient complained of pain in the right ear. The temperature kept up until March 14, mostly about 99 and 100 F., with a tendency to diminish somewhat until March 20. It reached 100 F. at 4 p. m. on the 15th; 99.2 at 4 p. m. on the 16th; 100 at 4 p. m. on the 17th; 98.8 at 4 p. m. on the 18th; 99.2 at 4 p. m. on the 19th; 99 at 4 p. m. on the 20th.
