Christopher Goetz, MD, professor of neurological sciences, Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, Ill, is retiring as the History of Neurology Section Editor. He has produced a brilliant history section with 2 main themes, “Neurology Was There” and “Seminal Citations,” and in doing so has developed a vast and loyal readership. We are grateful to Dr Goetz for his scholarship, leadership, and support in providing the readers of the Archives of Neurology with a vibrant and insightful history article each month for the past 8 years.
