Although there had been always some differences with regard to time and space, human beings have obeyed the law from the ancient tribes to the contemporary societies. Attribution of truth to the law and the conscience which questions individuals? actions have a crucial role in this obedience. Nevertheless, Freud and psychoanalytic theory, which are the subject of this study, do not attribute a metaphysical truth to the law while they state that the law is essential in passing through from the natural to the social existence of the human being. Guilty feelings play an important role in conscience and constitution of social law and at the same time punishment wishes which are based on the guilty feelings underlie the obedience to the law. Psychoanalytic theory does not postulate good and bad value sequence which include guilt definitions. Although the wishes, which have innate bases, are repressed they do not disappear and get sublimated and survive in the law which constitutes values. The human expresses an ambivalent attribution to the law-maker. On the one hand s/he obeys it with guilty feelings, on the other hand s/he wishes to destroy the law-maker who bans her/his wishes. It is antagonism which emerges with the resistance to the power which needs to be obeyed to defense the wishes. Power hides this antagonism, which represents the resistance, with ideology. According to the psychoanalytic film theorists, one of the ideological apparatus is cinema. However, due to the fact that the power, the owner of the ideological apparatus, is the operator of the law it does not have a whole constitution and it always makes its own reality visible. Since Zeki Demirkubuz cinema, which is chosen for this study, postulates humanistic values which are out of truth, it is investigated with its resistance to the law.

İlkel kabilelerden günümüz çağdaş toplumlarına varıncaya dek yüzyıllar boyunca insanlar, tabiiyet biçimleri zamana ve mekâna göre farklılıklar gösteriyor olsa da yasaya boyun eğmişlerdir. Yasaya bu tabi oluşta, toplumsal yasa ve bireyin edimlerini sorgulayan vicdana hakikat atfediyor olmanın önemli bir rolü vardır. Çalışmaya konu olan Freud ve psikanalitik kuram ise yasaya metafizik bir hakikat atfetmemekle birlikte insanın doğal varoluşundan, toplumsal varoluşa geçiş için yasanın zorunlu olduğu önermesini ortaya koyar. Vicdanın ve toplumsal yasanın kurulumunda suçluluk duygusu önemli bir rol oynarken, yasaya boyun eğişin temelini suçluluk duygusuna bağlı ceza istemi oluşturmaktadır. Psikanalitik kuram iyi-kötü suç tanımlarını içeren değerler silsilesi kurgulamaz. İnsanın doğuştan getirdiği dürtü temelli arzular her ne kadar bastırılıyor olsa da yok olmaz ve yüceltime uğrayarak o değerleri kuran yasada varoluşunu devam ettirir. İnsan toplumsal varoluşunu borçlu olduğu yasanın failine çiftedeğerli bir tutum sergiler. Bir taraftan suçluluk duygusu ile boyun eğerken, diğer taraftan arzularını yasaklayan yasa koyucuyu yok etmeyi arzular. Toplumun evrimini sağlayan da boyun eğdirmeye çalışan iktidar karşısında, arzusuna sahip çıkan direniş ile ortaya çıkan antagonizmadır. İktidar direnişin görünür olduğu bu antagonizmanın üstünü ideoloji ile örter. Psikanalitik film kuramcılarına göre devletin ideolojik aygıtlarından birisi de sinemadır. Ancak ideolojik aygıtın sahibi iktidar da bastırılmış arzuların yüceltimi olan yasanın uygulayıcısı olduğundan bütünlüklü bir yapıya sahip değildir ve her an kendi gerçeğini görünür kılar. Çalışma için seçilen Zeki Demirkubuz sineması, insani değerlerin hakikat dışı varoluşunu ortaya koyduğu için, yasaya direnen tarafı ile ele alınmıştır.
