PARADIGMA DEEP LEARNING DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAH ABAD 21: UPAYA MEMBANGUN KEMAMPUAN BERFIKIR KRITIS SISWA

Abstract

Materi pembelajaran sejarah dari tingkat SD-SMA/SMK terkesan hanya melakukan pengulangan saja, sehingga dianggap kurang relevan dengan perkembangan zaman. Hal ini berdampak pada minat peserta didik untuk belajar sejarah. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengidentifikasi paradigma deep learning dalam pembelajaran sejarah pada abad 21. Metode penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu metode kualitatif studi pustaka, dengan pengumpulan data melalui buku, artikel jurnal, makalah, prosiding, hasil penelitian, dan sumber relevan lainnya. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan, yaitu teknik analisis isi melalui langkah-langkah menentukan tujuan khusus yang akan dicapai, mengartikan istilah-istilah yang penting, mengkhususkan unit yang akan dianalisis, mencari data yang relevan, membangun rasional konseptual untuk menjelaskan bagaimana data berkaitan dengan tujuan, merencanakan penarikan sampel, dan merumuskan pengkodean kategori. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa paradigma deep learning dalam pembelajaran sejarah di abad 21 sangat relevan dengan mengimplementasikan strategi serta metode pendekatan yang sesuai dengan teknologi informasi, sehingga materi sejarah lebih kontekstual dan sesuai dengan kondisi saat ini. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran sejarah abad 21 melalui implementasi paradigma deep learning akan lebih menarik, bukan sekedar hafalan, namun peserta didik mampu memahami dan menganlisis secara mendalam, sehingga bisa berinovasi. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pembelajaran sejarah di sekolah abad 21 supaya pembelajaran lebih menarik dan menyenangkan, pendidik harus mampu menyesuaikan dengan perkembangan zaman, terutama dalam penggunaan strategi, model, metode, maupun materi ajar.
