The article carries out a military-historical study of the process of creation and modern activity of the exhibition space at the National Defence University of Ukraine (NDUU) as a component of the development and improvement of the system of professional training of personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, patriotic education, moral and psychological support, and development of the military-historical area of military science in Ukraine. An overview of the development of the regulatory and legal framework of military museums in Ukraine, the state of research on the mentioned issues is given. It is proved that the use of the exhibition area in the NDUU has become an important component of the moral and psychological support of a new generation of defenders of Ukraine.It is proven that within the framework of the activities of the NDUU and taking into account the requirements of martial law, a new model of a military museum is being formed. The substantive advantages of this model are due to the creation of an organizational and methodological centre with the appropriate selection of qualified and informally motivated specialists; the simultaneous creative combination of a purposeful (according to a single creative idea) collection of museum material (artefacts), its scientific and conceptual understanding and systematization for the purpose of exposition design; the use of innovative artistic and technological methods (museum and exhibition, cultural and artistic and other projects of bringing material to the audience); the establishment of organizational and methodological and scientific and creative cooperation with specialized administrative, museum, educational and scientific institutions, as well as military units; integration into information activities in a foreign (international) audience to form a positive image of Ukraine.

У статті здійснено воєнно-історичне дослідження процесу творення й сучасної діяльності музейно-експозиційного простору в Національному університеті оборони України як складової розбудови та удосконалення системи патріотичного виховання й морально-психологічного забезпечення особового складу Збройних Сил України, системи професійної підготовки офіцерських кадрів, розвитку воєнно-історичного напряму військової науки в Україні. Дано огляд розвитку нормативно-правової бази військово-музейної справи, стану дослідження згаданої проблематики. Доведено, що використання музейно-експозиційного напряму в університеті стало важливим компонентом виховання нової генерації захисників України. Досліджено завдання, організаційний механізм і зміст основних напрямів, застосування інноваційних методів у діяльності військово-історичного музею університету в умовах російсько-української війни. Доведено, що у рамках діяльності Музею та з урахуванням вимог воєнного стану, формується нова модель військово-музейної установи.
