The article is devoted to a comparative analysis of the expression of architectural components in short prose. The starting point of temporal expressions in the fiction of small forms is the physical and mathematical understanding of time at different historical stages of development of scientific knowledge about time. The purpose of the proposed article is to demonstrate in a comparative way the concept, chronotope and archetype of time in short prose of E. Kononenko, J. Joyce, M. Kidruk, K. Franzos in comparison with the physical and mathematical understanding of time, the paradigm of views on this concept in various historical and cultural milestones and their extrapolation in the literature of the respective periods. The novelty of the article is that for the first time chronotopic concepts in short prose of the metagenre of alternative history are considered here. Research methods are a set of comparative, descriptive, historical and literary approaches. Conclusions. We can argue the role of time as a concept, chronotope and archetype in stories by V. Kozhelyanko, J. Joyce, M. Kidruk, E. Kononenko, which are manifested at different structural levels of the text. The “past-present-present” relationship plays a genre-creating role, forms a literary chronotope, acts as a bearer of the code of a short story or narrative, and preserves the architectural structure of the work as clear and independent of reception and interpretation. In the short prose of AH, mainly, as we see in these examples, time performs the same functions as in works of major prose genres, however, its characteristics change: the time of the short story is often relict, “thick”, such that it has no duration. Often the chronotope of a short story replaces a moment in time. The chronotope and its plot counterpart ‒ the event series ‒ are observed by the reader in the form of an exhibit, a non-dynamic construction, different from the time in which the reader's reception takes place

L'article est consacré à une analyse comparative de l'expression des composants architectoniques en courte prose. Le but de cet article est de démontrer de manière comparative le concept, le chronotope et l'archétype du temps dans la courte prose de E. Kononenko, J. Joyce, M. Kidruk et K. E. Franzoz en comparaison avec la compréhension physique et mathématique du temps, le paradigme des vues sur ce concept se situe dans différents jalons historiques et culturels et leur extrapolation dans la littérature des périodes correspondantes. La nouveauté de l'article réside dans le fait que les concepts chronotopiques en petite prose du méta genre de l'histoire alternative sont ici considérés pour la première fois. Les méthodes de recherche sont un complexe d'approches comparatives, descriptives, historiques et littéraires. Conclusions. Dans la petite prose de J. Joyce, M. Kidruk, E. Kononenko, on peut raisonnablement noter le rôle du temps en tant que concept, chronotope et archétype, manifesté à différents niveaux structurels du texte

Статья посвящена компаративному анализу выражения архитектонических компонентов в малой прозе. Цель предлагаемой статьи заключается в том, чтобы в компаративном ключе продемонстрировать концепт, хронотоп и архетип времени в малой прозе Е. Кононенко, Дж. Джойса, М. Кидрука и К. Э. Францоза в сравнении с физическим и математическим пониманием времени, парадигмой взглядов на это понятие в разные историко-культурные вехи и их экстраполяцию в литературе соответствующих периодов. Новизна статьи заключается в том, что здесь впервые рассмотрены хронотопные концепции в малой прозе метажанра альтернативной истории. Методы исследования представляют собой комплекс из сравнительного, описательного, историко-литературного подходов. Выводы. В малой прозе Дж. Джойса, М. Кидрука, Е. Кононенко можем аргументированно отметить роль времени как концепта, хронотопа и архетипа, проявляющихся на разных структурных уровнях текста

Мета пропонованої статті полягає в тому, щоб в компаративному ключі продемонструвати концепт, хронотоп і архетип часу в малій прозі Є. Кононенко, Дж. Джойса, М. Кідрука і К. Е. Францоза в порівнянні з фізичним і математичним розумінням часу, парадигмою поглядів на це поняття в різні історико-культурні віхи і їх екстраполяцію в літературі відповідних періодів. Новизна статті полягає в тому, що тут вперше розглянуті хронотопні концепції в малій прозі метажанр альтернативної історії. Методи дослідження являють собою комплекс з порівняльного, описового, історико-літературного підходів. Висновки. У малій прозі Дж. Джойса, М. Кідрука, Е. Кононенко можемо аргументовано відзначити роль часу як концепту, хронотопу і архетипу, що проявляються на різних структурних рівнях тексту
