DETERMINATION OF THE SURVIVABILITY RATE OF ARMORED PERSONNEL CARRIER ON WATER WITH COMBAT DAMAGE

DETERMINATION OF THE SURVIVABILITY RATE OF ARMORED PERSONNEL CARRIER ON WATER WITH COMBAT DAMAGE

Abstract

The main direction of increasing the combat readiness of units and subdivisions of the NGU is to solve the problems of their technical equipment. Sufficient quantity and high quality of military equipment form the basis of the necessary combat readiness of troops. Units and subdivisions of the NGU must be ready to contain the armed conflict, and in case of its escalation - to repel armed aggression and participate in territorial defense measures. The military-geographical factor has a significant impact in repelling armed aggression against Ukraine. Based on the analysis of hydrographic conditions, conclusions are made about the positive or negative impact of hydrography on military operations, the most convenient areas for forcing water obstacles are determined. This suggests that the forcing of the water barrier is the basis of combat operations of units, and will be characteristic of the development of the offensive in operational depth. Methods of forcing water barriers are considered and it is proposed to divide into forcing with systematic preparation and forcing from the course. The concept of survivability as a component of combat capability of military equipment during the forcing of water obstacles is studied. The problem is related to the search for new ways to increase the survivability of combat vehicles while overcoming water obstacles. The scientific basis for research to assess the survivability of the armored personnel carrier is the theory of the effectiveness of weapons and military equipment, operation of armored vehicles, the basics of the theory of reliability of armored vehicles, probability theory and mathematical statistics. The water properties of the armored personnel carrier and its buoyancy conditions are determined. A mathematical model of the process of moving an armored personnel carrier afloat in the presence of combat damage is proposed. An expression for determining the path that can overcome the armored personnel carrier with combat damage on the water, and the rate of overcoming the water barrier armored personnel carrier with combat damage.
