Innovative technologies of project-based learning in higher medical education institutions

Innovative technologies of project-based learning in higher medical education institutions

Abstract

The prospects for introducing project-based learning into the system of higher medical education are examined. The advantages of the project methodology in the training of future medical specialists are highlighted. Models of project-based learning are presented, which ensure that applicants for higher medical education acquire the necessary competencies. The result of educational activity using the project method is the formation of research, creative, communicative, and leadership skills in the general soft-skills paradigm. At the same time, the need to correlate the principles of the traditional fundamental format of education with the innovative dimensions of project-based learning is emphasized. Therefore, the reorientation of the educational process in higher medical education institutions towards project-based learning technologies indicates the formation of new universal and interdisciplinary competencies in the system of training future specialists.
