The purpose of the article is to analyse the formation of the original compositional style of the Ukrainian bandurist, and composer Anatolii Matsiiaka and to systematise his creative heritage. Research methodology. In the process of research, the following methods were used to reveal the presented issues: biographical and chronological (study of life and creative path); historical (determining the role of socio-cultural circumstances of the day in the formation and formation of the artist’s personality); analytical and structural-logical (understanding the specifics of the areas of activity). Results. Anatolii Matsiiaka’s creative work with its originality, professionalism, and constant appeal to the folk instrument – bandura, vividly represents the national identity of Ukrainian music at the end of the last century. It is his significant contribution to the original bandura repertoire that puts the composer on the same level as those creators of Ukrainian art who, above all, worked to preserve the national identity of the musical culture of Ukraine. Thanks to the discovery of hitherto unknown pages of the artist’s work, we can say with certainty that Anatolii Matsiiaka is a professional whose musical legacy undoubtedly deserves to be remembered on par with the work of professional composers. Scientific novelty. Today, for the first time, Anatolii Matsiiaka's life path and work have been thoroughly examined, the main milestones of his creative heritage and style have been analysed, and the most complete list of the composer’s works has been compiled.

Мета статті – проаналізувати становлення оригінального композиторського стилю українського бандуриста, композитора Анатолія Маціяки та систематизувати його творчу спадщину. Методологія дослідження. У процесі дослідження для розкриття представленої проблематики використали такі методи: біографічний та хронологічний (вивчення життєвого й творчого шляху); історичний (визначення ролі соціокультурних обставин доби у становленні та формуванні особистості митця); аналітичний та структурно-логічний (осмислення специфіки напрямів діяльності). Результати. Творчість Анатолія Маціяки своєю своєрідністю, професіоналізмом та невпинним зверненням до народного інструмента – бандури – яскраво репрезентує національну самобутність української музики кінця минулого століття. Саме його значний внесок в оригінальний бандурний репертуар ставить композитора на один щабель із тими творцями українського мистецтва, які перед усім працювали над збереженням національної ідентичності музичної культури України. Завдяки відкриттю досі невідомих сторінок творчості митця можна з певністю стверджувати, що Анатолій Маціяка – професіонал, чий музичний спадок, безсумнівно, заслуговує того, аби згадуватися на рівні з творчістю професійних композиторів. Наукова новизна. На сьогодні вперше ґрунтовно розглянуто життєвий шлях та творчість Анатолія Маціяки, здійснено аналіз основних віх його творчої спадщини й стилю та складено найповніший перелік творів композитора.
