Soсiometric method of evaluating the quality of life in sick children

Soсiometric method of evaluating the quality of life in sick children

Abstract

The object of the research was to check the efficacy of our adapted method of evaluating the quality of the life of children with neurological pathology as a characteristic of health and physical work status. Thirty two children with diseases of the nervous system have been examined. A descriptive design of research with a single-stage section to form a sampling was used. The quality of life was estimated by means of questionnaires CHQ – SF and PF. It has been found out that the quality of life of children with neurological disorders based on the characteristics of general health and a selfassessment of health is unsatisfactory and concerns more a general well-being. Such children are also characterized by diminished exercise performance, but more at the expense of fulfilling tasks associated with a considerable consumption of energy. The method of evaluating the quality of chidren`s life has turned out to be valid and reliable.
