Abstract

This article provides information аbout the physiological and biochemical properties of propionic acid bacteria, as well as their metabolic capacity, which allows the use of propionic acid bacteria as medecine and food probiotic appointment at dysbiotic microbiota disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. There were considered the prospects of biotechnological potential of bacteria of the genus Propionibacterium, which should be given attention in terms of designing of effective biocorrectors.
