SUBJECTNESS IN UNORTHODOX MARKETS AS A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE OF THE ENTREPRENEURIAL UNIVERSITY

SUBJECTNESS IN UNORTHODOX MARKETS AS A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE OF THE ENTREPRENEURIAL UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The study examines the concept of the entrepreneurial university, revealing its critical function in adapting educational and research processes to meet the dynamic demands of the market and in fostering sustainable, self-supporting ecosystems. The primary objective of this research is to elucidate the nature of entrepreneurial university subjectness within unorthodox market frameworks and to assess its profound impact on the competitive advantages of these institutions amidst economic instability. The research methodology is predicated on a comprehensive generalization of conceptual approaches to defining the entrepreneurial university, a structural delineation of unorthodox industry markets pertinent to these institutions, and a clarification of the causal relationships between the components of subjectness and the potential for enhancing competitive positions. This technique facilitates a nuanced understanding of the multifaceted challenges and opportunities confronting entrepreneurial universities in the contemporary economic landscape. The findings of this study declare that the subjectness of entrepreneurial universities transcends mere adaptive responses to market fluctuations. It necessitates the proactive cultivation of an innovative ecosystem that nurtures entrepreneurial mindsets and skill sets among students and faculty alike. The integration of entrepreneurial competencies into academic curricula and the development of digital proficiencies are identified as essential, yet insufficient, prerequisites for establishing a robust entrepreneurial university. The research underscores the imperative for universities to engage in systemic reforms, including the establishment of incubation centers, startup accelerators, and mentorship programs, to facilitate the commercialization of research and development. Furthermore, the diversification of funding sources, the cultivation of international collaborations, and the fortification of a strong corporate culture rooted in innovation, collaboration, and social responsibility are posited as critical determinants of success. The findings are instrumental for governmental bodies in refining higher education development strategies and in formulating public policies that foster innovation and entrepreneurship. University administrators can leverage these insights to implement innovative governance models and to diversify funding streams, thereby enhancing their institutions’ competitiveness. Private sector entities can utilize this research to forge strategic partnerships with universities and to integrate innovative solutions into their operational frameworks. Ultimately, this study contributes to the scholarly discourse by providing a theoretical and empirical foundation for understanding the evolving role of universities in driving economic development and societal advancement.
