Critics tried to consider the idea of ??Pasternak in the contest of the Plato“s cave as a symbol of the division of the world into the illusory and true ones, etc. However, none of the critics could find in the novel the hidden content the novel“s author spoke about. Instead, critics saw in the novel such meanings and images that were completely absent in it. The article concludes that if the hidden meaning does exist in the novel, it is not explicated in any way. At the same time, it may be assumed that the idea of ??the threads of the world came to Pasternak, as it was with other poets, in the his poiesis insight of clairvoyance. At the same time, the article concluded that in Pasternak”s case the real, material world as a curtain-world disappears by itself due to the destructive action of the revolution. In addition to the world of things, in the war, from the lack of food, frosts and epidemics, the heroes of the novel and Zhivago himself die. The main character from «Zhivago» (Аlive) gradually turned into the “Mertvago” (Unalive), what allows Me author to consider the novel a guilty verdict of social revolution. Of course, for the apologists of the «Russian World» it would be tempting to interpret the fall of the curtain (the disappearance of the world of things) as opening to Russians by catharsis the true Divine World, but when noble people disappeared and Ham began to rule everywhere, in Russia there was no one who would and could cognize this Divine World.

Пастернак утверждал, что в его основном романе изложена философская идея о том, что истинный мир закрыт он нас миром вещей как колышущейся занавесью Эти же образы мировой ткани, сотканной из нитей, которая закрывает от нас истинное бытие, ясно видели и иные поэты. Поиск этой идеи в эксплицированном виде в произведении писателя, как и в критических работах о нем, закончился негативным результатом. Это можно объяснить тем, что роман в целом повествует об исчезновения этой завесы вещественного мира в огне революции. Кроме мира вещей гибнут и герои романа. Из самого Живаго так неумолимо уходила жизнь, что он, по сути, постепенно превратился в доктора «Мертваго».

Пастернак стверджував, що в його основному романі викладена певна філософія, а саме, що справжній світ закритий він нас шаром реальних речей як завісою, що коливається. Пошук цієї ідеї в експлікований вигляді у творі письменника і в критичних роботах про нього її не виявив. Натомість констатовано, що роман у цілому розповідає про зникнення реальності, цієї завіси (світу речей) у вирі революції разом із людьми і головним героєм.
