Receptor function of neutrophilic granulocytes in chronic obstructive pulmonary desease

Receptor function of neutrophilic granulocytes in chronic obstructive pulmonary desease

Abstract

The functional activity of neutrophilic granulocytes has been studied in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. An elevation of the expression of activation marker CD25+, adhesion molecules CD11b+, has been established and that is associated with a high level of interleukin-8. Changes of the receptor function of neutrofils preserved against a background of basic treatment, especially, in patients with a severe course of the disease that may be one of the causes of its progression.
