Diagnostics and treatment of disturbances of immunologic homeostasis in women, suffering from chronic inflammatory diseases of the genitals

Diagnostics and treatment of disturbances of immunologic homeostasis in women, suffering from chronic inflammatory diseases of the genitals

Abstract

The effect of local ozonotherapy has been studied on the blood plasma and peritoneal exudates content of pro- (IL–β1, TNF-α) and antiinflammatory cytokines in women with chronic inflammatory diseases of the genitals. It has been established that the concentrations of proinflammatory cytokine IL–1β and TNF-α moderately increase with a simultaneous moderate elevation of the level of the antiinflammatory TGF-β1 in the blood plasma of patients afflicted with chronic inflammatory diseases of the internal genitals. A course of multimodality treatment with the use of ozonotherapy has been shown to be conducive to a normalization of the blood content of IL–1β and TGF-β1, whereas the level of TNF-α remains heightened.
