The purpose of the article is to determine the evolution of requirements for library interior design under the influence of digitalisation, taking into account the public’s attitude to the role and functions of libraries in the modern world. The research methods are based on a systematic approach to analysing the impact of innovative services on library interior design and public opinion about the role and status of libraries in the information society. It is shown that positive attitudes towards libraries are influenced by the quality of service and the relevance of the information services package, which, in turn, are associated with the functionality of the workspace planning and the library interior design. The survey revealed the public’s requirements for library interior design. The trends in the evolution of library interior design are analysed, taking into account the impact of digitalisation of information services on its requirements. Scientific novelty. The article demonstrates the relationship between the relevance of the package of information library services, the functionality of interior design, and the public positive attitude towards visiting libraries. The evolution of requirements for library interior design is characterised by a list of requirements generated by innovative services and refined by the results of a sociological survey on public attitudes to the functions of modern libraries. Conclusions. The study identified possible trajectories of sustainable development of libraries in the context of digitalisation, when libraries lose their monopoly on access to knowledge. The features of implementing the concept of «well-being of presence» in the design of library interiors using multisensory interaction of light, heat, acoustic, and olfactory environments are considered. It is shown that the implementation of this concept in the practice of managing the functioning of a modern library is based on a combination of architectural and design solutions with distributed «cloud» means of monitoring and managing the «well-being of the presence environment».

Мета статті полягає у визначенні еволюції вимог до дизайну інтер’єру бібліотек під впливом цифровізації з урахуванням ставлення громадськості до ролі і функцій бібліотек у сучасному світі. Методи дослідження базуються на системному підході до аналізу впливу на дизайн інтер’єру бібліотек інноваційних сервісів та громадської думки про роль і статус бібліотеки в інформаційному суспільстві. Показано, що на позитивне ставлення до бібліотек впливає якість обслуговування та актуальність пакету інформаційних послуг, які у свою чергу асоціюються з функціональністю планування робочого простору та дизайном інтер’єру бібліотеки. Шляхом опитування виявлено вимоги громадськості до дизайну інтер’єру бібліотек. Проаналізовано тенденції еволюції дизайну інтер’єру бібліотек з урахуванням впливу на вимоги до нього цифровізації інформаційних сервісів. Наукова новизна. Продемонстровано зв’язок між актуальністю пакета інформаційних бібліотечних послуг, функціональністю дизайну інтер’єру та позитивним ставленням громадськості до відвідування бібліотек. Еволюція вимог до дизайну інтер’єру бібліотек охарактеризована переліком вимог, що генеруються інноваційними сервісами та уточнюються за результатами соціологічного опитування про ставлення громадськості до функцій сучасних бібліотек. Висновки. У результаті дослідження виявлені можливі траєкторії сталого розвитку бібліотек в умовах цифровізації, коли бібліотеки втрачають монополію на доступ до знань. Розглянуті особливості імплементації концепції «добробуту присутності» дизайн-проєктування інтер’єру бібліотек з використанням мультисенсорної взаємодії світлового, теплового, акустичного та нюхового середовищ. Показано, що реалізація цієї концепції на практиці управління функціонуванням сучасної бібліотеки базується на комбінації архітектурно-дизайнерських рішень з розподіленими «хмарними» засобами моніторингу та управління «добробутом середовища присутності».
